2012 Fall Recreational Season Soccer Sign-ups!

NYSL Walk-in registration days will be held on May 5, 16 and 19 at New Technology High School.

The Walk-in registration schedule is:

Saturday May 5^th 9AM to 1PM
Wednesday May 16^th 5PM to 8PM
Saturday May 19^th 9AM to 1PM

Additional walk-in registration events will be held at the NYSL office located at 1420 Third Street Suite 3 on May 23 and 30 from 6PM to 8PM.

Registrations received after May 31^st will be charged a $10 late registration fee.

Teams will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Some teams fill-up prior to walk-in registration days. Although we make every effort to satisfy team/friend requests, there is no guarantee that we will be able to fulfill any requests.

Skills Development Program Update!

Note Update: the SDP Classes (2) for next Tuesday (5/22 only) will be moved to the West Park Soccer Fields off Linda Vista due to Redwood Middle School's Open House. To view the schedule please click on the camp/clinic label on the left and refer to the info on that page. Thanks very much.

2012 NYSL Soccer is starting up and there are many upcoming activities over the next few months. If you have ever considered coaching soccer, NYSL is offering FREE Coach Training for NYSL Coaches tomorrow night:

For only the next 3 Friday Evenings, now until June 1st, there will be FREE NSCAA Coaching Clinics, U-6 & U-8 from 6-7 and U-10 & U-12 from 7-8 at Redwood Middle School on the artificial turf field.

Referee Certification Course

Now scheduled for May 15th-24th, 2012

The course will be held over 5 evenings with classes from 5:30pm-9pm at Vintage. Please monitor this site for times, updates and classroom assignments. Re-certification is also available and will require 2 evening classes (tbd). Reserve your spot. First-come, first-serve while spaces last. Contact Dennis Savage at referee@nysl.org

It’s Brian Watson over at Positive Coaching Alliance. Now that we have entered into the final week of July, I hope each of you are enjoying what’s left of summer.

Last week, PCA released a brand new video documentary. Jim Thompson and our entire Upper Management Team at PCA are very excited about the finished product. Free Soccer Swap

The Napa Youth Soccer League is conducting a free soccer swap at Ben & Jerry's, located at 1299 Napa Town Center, daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Soccer cleats, shinguards and uniforms are available. Organizers will also accept equipment that is donated.
