Coach Infractions

1.  Aggressively challenging a referee's decision, either by raising his/her voice, gesturing, or otherwise clearly directing dissent toward a referee:

First offense: Sent off the field (ejection from the game by the Referee), one (1) game suspension plus two (2) additional games added to the suspension according to CYSA Rule 4:08:06.

Second offense: Sent off the field (ejection from the game by the Referee) and five (5) game suspension.

Third offense: Termination as coach for the current season with an additional one (1) season suspension.

2. Confronting any player, referee, spectator or other coach in a physical manner by initiating physical contact, to include bumping, pushing, shoving, or by directing foul language to any player, referee, spectator or other coach, be they from the opposing team or his/her own team:

First offense: Immediate suspension from coaching for the remainder of the existing season and the following season, and minimum two (2) additional years on probation.

Second offense: Permanent termination as a coach for the NYSL and permanent suspension from attending all NYSL games.

3. Striking or attempting to strike a player, referee, spectator or other coach either on his/her own team or an opponent:

First offense: Permanent termination as a coach for the NYSL and permanent suspension from attending all NYSL games.
